Wow, bees are in minecraft now! Hello, welcome to block of the week! This week, we will be covering bee nests!
Fun fact: this is an actual bee nest, a bee hive is a man-made structure used for breedng bees and collecting honey and honeycombs! Just some bee facts for you!
Bee nests spawn naturally in the snapshow 19w34a on oak trees within the plains, forest, and flower forest biomes. They can house 3 bees each, and there are currently no ways for bees to create nests, but hopfully they will be in the next 1.15 snapshot! Each nest/hive has a hidden value called "honey_level" which determines if the nest/hive is ready to produce honey/honeycombs!
To harvest honey, use a bottles, and if you want honeycombs, use shears. Honey bottles will give you 3 hunger points, and they can be converted into 3 sugar, and soon, crystalized sugar and wax blocks! Honeycomb can be used to craft bee hives with this recipe.
Thank you for tuning in this week, and I'll see you later!
