Week 6 Term 3 Reflection: Maths, maths, and more maths

Image result for MandalaHello, welcome back to my blog! Today, I will be talking about all the maths that I've been doing. Now, there's alot of things to cover, so strap in and get your popcorn! Because this'll be a long post.

First, mandalas. A mandala is a piece of art created by duplicating a 'slice' of a patern, then repeating it in a circular motion like this. A mandala represents symmetry, maths, and art in one piece. For our art, we had to make a mandala pattern, replicate it around the center, then copy that image onto our calendar art.

Next, recognizing 2d and 3d shapes! Yesterday, Mrs Gully gave us a worksheet where we had to recognize 2d and 3d shapes. A 2d shape is a shape that goes along only the X and Y axis, while 3d shapes go along X, Y, and Z. X is left and right, Y is up and down, and Z is forward and backwards.
