Hey hey hey! Welcome back to Block of the week! Today, I'm going to be tackling the hardest block to explain.. The redstone comparator.. This crazy contraption can be used to measure, subtract, maintain, and compare redstone signal strengths.
The comparator can take in sigials from all directions, and measure the signal strength of said item.
The comparator can take a redstone signal from chests, shulker boxes, jukeboxes, furnaces, brewing stands, dispensers, and bee hives/nests, item frames, cauldrons, and about a million other things I don't have time to list. Depending on the item powering the comparator, it will emit a signal strength of up to 15 blocks! wow! You can find the full list of variables here. This redstone signal is used primarily for storage systems, bee farms, and super smelters.
I have used the comparator, and once you're used to using it, it's a breeze! Thank you for tuning in to block of the week, and I'll see you next time! (Please leave a comment!)
