Week 9 Term 2 Reflection (Monday): What I'm proud of
Hey hey hey! Welcome back to my blog! Today, I'm showing you all my proudest work. This is the Macintosh 128k papercraft designed by Rocky Bergen. I've been working on it for quite a while, and I decided that I would show all of you.

Week 8 Term 2 Reflection: The Rains of April
This picture was taken on the 18th of april, 2020. This picture shows me at 5:50am standing infront of my window flashing a peace sign as the rain buckets down behind me. I had woken up an hour before and came downstairs to eat breakfast and finish off some work before online class started. I treaded lightly, as to not wake my dogs or my family, and I succeeded, but they would wake up anyway.
The rain grew heavier and heavier, and eventually the thunder and lightning started. It was very peaceful, and I relaxed in my soft beanbag on the floor. I decided I would take this photo to send to my school friends through google hangouts. I knew they weren't awake anway.
Suddenly, a massive lightning strike hit the house, making a very loud noise. I jumped in my seat and instinctvely ran upstairs with my chromebook to continue doing work in there. I found the second floor lights on and my mum's door open. She was cradling our cat, who was screeching loudly. I settled down into my temporary bed and continued on my work. That was a lovely night.

Week 5 Term 1 Reflection: Poetry & Getting Paid!
Hey hey hey! Welcome back to my blog! This week, we started using Banqer to motivate us to do good work! Banqer is a system where you can sign up your class to use virtual money as a currency! With this system, our teacher is letting us buy stuff like free time, music, and maybe pizza!
Now, onto the poetry. We've been doing this thing called our Poetry Anthology where we're writing poems in specific themes! Here is a Limerick and a Cinquain poem!
There once was a very old scribe
Who had a disgusting vibe
They took him away
Before he could say
“I’ll give you a very good bribe!”
And here's my Cinquain
Swan
Elegant, Calm
Glides across water
Beautiful in the morning
Bird

Week 2 Term 4 Reflection: Athletics, the great delay
Hello, welcome back to my blog! This week, we're doing athletics! Well, last week we were supposed to do athletics, but it got postponed due to rain.. twice. Athletics is happening on Wednesday, and it's an opt-in situation. You're allowed to not go to athletics, due to wednesday being tech.
Our class also got to write a piece of work about why they think that athletics should or should not be compulsory. Here's mine.
"Why athletics should be compulsory.
Written by Martin Stanton.
Do you think that athletics should be compulsory in schools? Well, I personally think they should be, and this is my reasoning.
Athletics is an amazing way to keep fit, it’s an entire day of sports and fun. Most children enjoy it and go on to canterbury tournaments for their selected sport! It’s also helping the children stay active and enjoy sports, and due to the wide variety of sports children may find the sport they enjoy the most and go on to become invested in the sport.
Athletics is also a great time for students to meet up with their friends and do sports with them. It helps boost children's morale when they have their friends near them. In fact, it makes them over 27% happier and it makes the time fly right by for them, reducing complaints.
Friendship can help nearly anyone with the right amounts. And mix that with athletics, and you have a perfect combination that makes athletics a fun and exciting time for students. This, is partly why I think that students should have to do athletics.
This also gets students outside and on the fields, running around and enjoying sports. Over 1 billion children have mobile phones, gaming PCs, and/or chromebooks now, and as many people know, overuse of devices can be the catalyst for many health conditions such as bad eyesight, depression, social withdrawl, and other things.
Athletics help children get away from these devices and get them outside for fresh air. In conclusion, athletics should be compulsory because of health benefits, morale boosting, enjoyment, and socialising. These things all together are amazing if they are executed well together. So, personally, if you want to pursue your esports partnership, so be it. But this is why I think that athletics should be compulsory in schools.
Please, if you can, go outside and enjoy doing a sport."
Sorry for that being a little bit long, I wrote a lot of this. Anyway, we also did Keping Ourselves Safe where we were read a story and we had to think of ways to diffuse the situation and keep yourself or others safe. I will be releasing a DLO about this next week.
Thank you for coming to my blog! Have a good day, and goodye!

Week 1 Term 4 Reflection: The Final Stretch.
Hello! Welcome to my blog! This week is the first week of term 4, and it's pretty daunting thinking about school concert in a few weeks.. Well, let's get into the work!
Well, there's not much work to do.. We only just started.. We've mainly been doing tests and other start-of-term things. Therefore, I will be sharing my tech work with you! At tech, we got to make things out of driftwood! I'm making a birthday present for my dad. It's a log with "Happy Birthday" engraved on it by a laser cutter.
We also had a new teacher called Mr. Abbot! He's a really kind and caring teacher. He's a very laid-back teacher that also respects us. He let us do this really fun coding activity at Tiny.cc/Rattle5 where you have to pilot a robot to do simple tasks. He also made us do a piece of writing that acts as a sequel/prequel to a popular fairy tail. I did one on Goldilocks following up from her getting arrested.
Well.. that's all I have to say..! Thanks for sticking with me through this! I'll be releasing a block of the week and something else due to my intrests shifting. Bye bye! Have a good day!

Week 9 Term 3 Reflection: It's Nearly Over!
Hey! Welcome back to my very uneventful blog where I post about minecraft all the time just to get to the 2 post a week limit! Today, I'm going to take a step back from all of my schoolwork for a minute to talk about the earth.
As you may know, the earth is currently going through the stages of the greenhouse effect. This effect is warming up the earth and melting the ice caps. This effect is being caused by all of the coal and plastic being burnt at factories. The coal smoke coming from the factories mixed with the oxygen in the air is forming carbon dioxide, that replicates the greenhouse effect.
Believe it or not, you can help to save the earth. All you have to do is reduce your carbon emissions by maybe riding a bike to school, reducing the amount of coal burnt in your house, reducing the amount of plastic you use, and other things you can find out about at https://ourplanet.com/. This website contains information about how to reduce carbon emissions. Thanks for listening.
Now, onto regularly scheduled programming. Today in class we have been doing a DLO on a select task in geometry that we've been doing. For this, I chose to do tessellations! A Tessellation is.. well.. I'll just show you the DLO.
I feel this DLO is one of the best that I've done this term. It contains information, pictures, and it looks good! I actually made a tessellation just as an example! Check it out!
This is a tessellation of a bunch of arrows that fit perfectly together. As you can see, tessellations are pretty fun to mess around with. Now, as you may be able to see from the title of this post, it's week nine. That means the term is nearly over! I'm so excited! I will be scheduling many block of the week posts for over the holiday weeks for you all, so stay tuned for that! Thanks for coming over, sorry for the long post, and I'll see you later!

Week 8 Term 3 Reflection: PReP Starts up!
Hey hey hey! Welcome back to my mediocre blog! This week, we started doing PReP. PReP is a fun two weeks where you get to make a product and sell it for currency. It's really fun! You also have to do paperwork for everything such as action plans, order forms, etc.. It's really stressful..
Our group, Truly Tie Dye is selling tye die scrunchies for a cheap price of 5 nuggets! (Nuggets is the name of the currency we're using this year.)

We already have lots of pre-orders, but we don't have enough to sell to everyone who wants one.. It's a really bad situation that our group is in..
Also, for wearable arts, our group is failing and our cloak feels like a bad idea now.. I don't want to go on the night, but I have to or else my teacher will be humiliated by the lack of people turning up. I don't think my teamates are turning up either. This is a disaster.
Thanks for coming along, I'll see you later.

Week 7 Term 3 reflection: Full speed ahead! Part 2
Welcome back to this weeks reflection! Let's get into it!
So, you may ask, "What the what is a Japan wall?". A Japan wall is a wall of creations made by our class related to Japan and many aspects of their culture! Here it is!
I wrote the phrase "Hello from japan!" in japanese characters! It was really interesting because the japanese language is so different from english! Each and every character represents an idea, and I think that's amazing.
Now, for PReP. I am in a group called Truly Tye Dye with Shilah, Charlotte, Shakeira, Riley, Latoia, and George. We make tye dye scrunchies, and we may also do custom scrunchies at mini market! Look out for that! We post information on our blog at this link! Watch that space!

Thank you for coming to my post, and I hope you come back tomorrow!

Week 7 Term 3 reflection: Full speed ahead! Part 1
Hello, welcome back to my blog! This week we've been doing Wearable arts, PReP, Map art, and a Japan wall! Let's jump right into it!
First off, wearable arts. Our group has started getting full speed into wearable arts. We have laser-cut 42 feathers, and we have pained them all! We decided to make the cloak out of fabric with the cardboard feathers stuck onto it instead of punching holes and threading them together with string.. It's gonna work, I feel it will!
Now map art! For our activity this week, we were given a set of instructions, and we had to make a map of a real or fake city! I made one that looks really good, take a look!
I feel I incorporated the use of slide transitions in a cute and neat way, and I like the way my work turned out. I may update the look of the map by adding some new things, and maybe not! Watch this space! Due to spacing reasons, I have to make this into two posts. The next post will detail my PReP work and the Japan wall! It'll be out and ready by the time this post is up, so scroll a bit up.

Week 6 Term 3 Reflection: Maths, maths, and more maths
Hello, welcome back to my blog! Today, I will be talking about all the maths that I've been doing. Now, there's alot of things to cover, so strap in and get your popcorn! Because this'll be a long post.First, mandalas. A mandala is a piece of art created by duplicating a 'slice' of a patern, then repeating it in a circular motion like this. A mandala represents symmetry, maths, and art in one piece. For our art, we had to make a mandala pattern, replicate it around the center, then copy that image onto our calendar art.

Next, recognizing 2d and 3d shapes! Yesterday, Mrs Gully gave us a worksheet where we had to recognize 2d and 3d shapes. A 2d shape is a shape that goes along only the X and Y axis, while 3d shapes go along X, Y, and Z. X is left and right, Y is up and down, and Z is forward and backwards.
Thank you for coming to my blog, please leave a comment of what you liked! Have a good day!

Week 4 Term 3 reflection: Co-ordinates and craziness.
Hello and welcome back to my okay blog, today I will show you my work then comment on it then end the post with a cheesy pun, let's get into it.
This is my work on co-ordinates! For this activity we had to make a DLO on how co-ordinates work and such. Here it is.
I feel that I could have done better by making it more in-depth but I did my best. It explains it, it's to the point, and it's interesting to learn from. I really tried to make it minimalistic and make sure it doesn't distract people with it's looks.
Thank you for coming to my blog today, and I hope you have a co-ordinated day.

Week 5 Term 1 2019 Reflection: Maths and Magic!
Hello, welcome back to my blog! It sure has been a good start to 2019! Did you have a good start to the year? That's good! Now, let's dive into the Maths!
This week I got to make a little DLO (Digital Learning Object) centred around Factors and products. Here it is!
Now, I know it's just boring writing with no colours or images. But I think that it's the best I could do without being distracted by making it fancy and beautiful.
My goal for next time I do a DLO is to make it more stylish and make it easier to understand.
Thanks for tuning into this reflection, see you next week!

Reflection week 11 term 1
Heh the term is already over. and i'm ready to take my chromebook home and enjoy the holidays!
So as you know i'm supposed to do a reflection about all my goals and stuff and i'm going to do that and tell a joke at the end! so lets go!
So first things first my goal for the entire year is to actually learn what you can do with the chromebooks. I know all the basics and shortcuts but i wanna know what else it can do. one of my main wonders is if you can configure the settings of a chromebook to make it function like a mac.
Next my maths goal! My maths goal is split into 2 parts which is really hard for me. those 2 parts are to learn how to make a decimal out of a fraction and to learn to divide numbers up to 100. those 2 things will help me advance in maths and it will help me improve my maths buddy lots.
Oh I forgot my termly goal! So my termly goal (for term 2) is to improve my writing skills and learn more words so i can make better short stories (and jokes). I have been trying to work on palindromes and trying to think of some palindromes.
Okay now the joke!
Its kinda like a chat though...
Student 1: The principal here is horrible!
Student 2: Do you know who i am?
Student 1: No.
Student 2: i'm the principals daughter.
Student 1: Do you know who i am.
Student 2: No.
Student 1: Good!
(I suck at jokes)

Reflection week 6 term 1
Hoi! welcome to my work post thingy!

This is my maths! For this task we had to identify place values and face values then add up the total value. Im quite proud of it because i did it in 9 minutes!
This is my book prediction! For this task we read the story Brooklyn writers walk and had to predict what would happen in the story next! I'm not that proud of it since i only got one fact onto it.
Welp folks see you next week! (I think I used this joke twice)

This is my camp green lake argument! We had to write a persuasive argument about camp green lake. we also had an option to screencastify it. so me and rowan did that! i am kind of proud of it because i put lot of detail into it. NEEEEEEEXT!

This is my maths! i got a gold in graphs and i thought i would share it with you... welp thats the end! see you next time!
